About me!

Kate Toomer (BCCSDip.DogBhv & Dip.FDAg) – Founder/Owner/Trainer at Dogs Club.

After years of owning/managing retail catering/coffee shops, I eventually decided to follow my passion to work with Dogs.

I have a natural affinity with Dogs and a great affection and respect for their welfare.  I invest an enormous amount of effort to ensure that all the dogs are well cared for and well handled as well as spending additional time to provide an extra special service for my customers.

I’m a qualified Fun Dog Agility Coach. I run local monthly ‘Pop up Agility Parks’, 4 week Beginners Courses, Booster Classes and 1-2-1 Sessions. (See our Fun Dog Agility page for further details). Fun Dog Agility is very centered around great communication and focus with our dogs, so I’ve continued studying to enable a richer understanding of how our dogs learn and how to capture their interest and fully connect with them.

I’ve since qualified with Level-3 Canine Behaviour Diploma [Distinction], Dogs & Children Certificate, in addition to attending a Dog Training Instructors Course… and I’m currently well underway and will soon be adding Level-4 Canine Behaviour Diploma. I’ve recently launched our Dogs Club Training Games Classes & 1-2-1 sessions as well as Puppy Activity Sessions. (Follow this link to our Fun Dog Training page for further details).

I am also currently very involved with Brighton Dogwatch, who are an incredible non-profit, local group, primarily based on facebook with the support of  a tremendous following of over 12.5k local people, helping reunite lost and stolen dogs in and around our region.
